A number of Livingston residents are in the beginning stages of producing an energy/CO2 inventory and plan for the area. There is a grant proposal in the works for outside consultants on planning. Most of the work will be done by people in the community. If you have skills to contribute (energy, analysis, writing, politiking, etc,) please e-mail me. We'd love your contribution.
Imagine, as a market gardener, growing fresh, organic food all year in Montana without any fossil fuels. Tomatoes into November and December, new greens starting in February. These off season crops offer higher profit margins because the alternative for consumers is the tired produce in the grocery stores.
